My So-Called Life As A Proverbs 31 Wife by Sara Horn
I had the unique privilege of previewing this book that is not due to be released until September 1, 2011. In this book, Sara Horn documents her personal year-long account of embracing the vision of being a Proverbs 31 woman in today’s society. The result will inspire you. I often laughed as I read her daily accounts, as only another mom and wife could.
There was one passage in particular that described me quite well. It referred to being very disciplined, but married to a free spirit. Many of her references are applicable to both wives and mothers, who are as she stated, the “thermometer” of the home. “My So-Called Life As a Proverbs 31 Wife” is a reminder, based on one woman sharing her life to smile, to seek peace and to share love. Trying to be all things to those you love is more a challenge of the heart than a “domestic diva contest”, so keep your hope in Christ.
Sara Horn encourages other wives of military personnel on her blog but you can find out more about the book here or pre-order it here. It even has some cool recipes at the back of the book.
